Hey friends,
It’s been a whirlwind summer, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be sharing it with all of you. Whether you’ve caught a show, streamed a tune, or just sent along a kind word, thank you. Your support is the lifeblood of this music.
Six Songs, One Story: The New EP Is Coming
We’ve been rolling out singles week by week, and I’ve got to say—it’s been a real joy watching these stories find their way into your lives. Here’s what’s already out and streaming on Spotify and all major platforms (and available for download or listening at sonhenry.com):
Whiskey Tears and Second Chances (7/15) – A slow-burning ballad of regret and redemption, born from a barstool and a story too heavy to forget.
Houston and Falling (7/22) – A more up-tempo heartbreak anthem for anyone who's ever loved the wrong person in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Chesapeake (7/29) – Road-trip Americana with the smell of saltwater and the hum of a long bridge crossing at midnight.
My Heartache Tonight (8/5) – Classic Son Henry storytelling wrapped in pedal steel, late-night confessions, and a beat you can swing to.
Missing Piece (8/12) -
Coming up next:
It’ll Be Alright lands August 19
If you’d rather hold out for the whole collection, the full EP drops August 25. It’s got all six tracks, wrapped in a sound that blends the heart of Americana with the grit of the blues.
And hey, email subscribers get a free download of Whiskey Tears and Second Chances as a little thank-you gift. Not signed up yet? Head over to www.sonhenry.com and join the family!
House Concert Debut: Oswego, You Were Magic
Last weekend, I had the incredible honor of playing my first ever house concert in Oswego, hosted by the amazing Ranjit and Ann Dighe in their beautiful Victorian home. It was one of those nights where the music didn’t just bounce off the walls—it stayed in the room. We laughed, we cried (a little), and we shared stories the way music was meant to be shared: up close and personal. If you’ve ever thought about hosting a house concert—reach out. I’d love to bring this kind of night to your living room, backyard, barn, or wherever folks gather to listen with their hearts wide open.
UK Tour Incoming – Got a Couch in Scotland?
The UK Tour kicks off in early September, and I can’t wait to reunite with fans and friends across the pond. If you're in the UK, give us a shout—we’re especially looking to fill September 11 and 12 in Scotland, either with the full band or solo. Know a venue? Want to host a house show? Let’s make it happen.
For the Blues Purists…
Mark your calendars: September 1 brings the release of a Son Henry All Blues 2000 - 2025 compilation. This one’s for the folks who like their music muddy, raw, and real. It’s a deep dive into the lap steel soul and gravel-voiced blues that brought me to this road in the first place.
Thanks again for being part of the journey. These songs may start with me, but they come alive with you. Believe it or not, money is not the most important way you can support independent music.…FOLLOW, LIKE, and SHARE makes a huge difference! Music Bookers and promoters look at these numbers to make hiring decisions. Keep listening, keep sharing, and if one of these tracks hit you right in the gut, hit the like button and tell a friend.
With gratitude and groove,
– Son Henry
