The last Thursday of every month, The Revelators and I host an evening of deep roots and storytelling: Son House Blues Night in the Backroom Lounge at the Record Archive. I’m joined by an incredible house band - Rob Huff on drums, Dan Lopata on bass, and Jon Tucker on keys. Our format starts with a warm-up set by the house band, followed by a featured performance from a special guest. We pair it all with cold beer, fine wine, and fresh pizza.

This tradition goes back over 20 years, originally started by Gordon Munding and carried forward by Genesee Johnny, both of whom helped shape the night into a beloved local institution. Now, I’m honored to carry that torch in Rochester.
