Hey Folks,

Son Henry here, and I know it's been a minute since my last update. First off, I hope everyone is having an absolutely stellar summer! The weather’s been a bit too good to stay inside typing away, but here I am, back at it.
I've been deep in the trenches working on my upcoming album, *The Ballad Hunter*. This one’s a real passion project for me—it's a collection of acoustic songs that harken back to the early 20th century blues, country, and Appalachian folk music. The album's name pays homage to the Lomax family, those legendary music historians who crisscrossed the country recording American music on wax cylinders from the back of their old Ford. I’m recording two versions of each original song; one is a regular recording, and the other is an honest to god wax recording! I'm aiming to have it wrapped up and ready to roll before heading off to the UK in September.
Speaking of the UK, I'm beyond excited about the upcoming tour. I’ll be teaming up with my old Aberdeen bandmates, Mell Ross, Mike Oxley, and Gog Cummings. We’re set to bring some Blues and Americana to Scotland, England, and Wales. It’s going to be one heck of a ride, and I can’t wait to see some of you at the shows.
Before I hop across the pond, there are plenty of gigs lined up in Rochester this August. Come on out to the Port of Pittsford Gazebo on August 2nd or catch us at the Corn Hill Gazebo on August 11th. There’s nothing quite like playing to a hometown crowd.
Stay cool, stay safe, and keep those blues alive!
Cheers,
Son
